SUMMARY:H2O Tiles
DESCRIPTION:This is a team project with Roberto L. Delgado (Lead Artist)\, Leo Limon\, and Oscar Duardo. The team will create and distribute common Home Depot 4″x4″ tiles fired with a silkscreened image of “H2O” in 4 to 6 basic fonts layered over a number of photosilkscreens of people\, in about 30 unique designs. The people photos have been taken by Delgado over the past few years in Highland Park\, Cypress Park\, and Lincoln Heights. The dynamic works like a trading card\, with people comparing what tiles they have with what others have collected. They compare\, talk\, and sometimes trade. The palm-size tiles will be collectible quality and will be distributed free of charge. \nTiles will be distributed around different VisionLA Fest venues with accompanying social media announcements\, so collectors can track the latest sighting of the new H20 tile. Be the first to collect them all!

SUMMARY:Heather Woodbury's AS THE GLOBE WARMS
DESCRIPTION:As the Globe Warms is a novel-sized live performance work and podcast by award-winning serial performer Heather Woodbury. The pop American answer to the Pope’s encyclical on climate change\, it’s about how the fight over one small frog in one small town collides with the world wide web and the web of life itself. The serial dramady connects the dots between climate crisis\, America’s religious-secular divide and the near extinction of many species\, including the middle class. \nNew episodes of the 12-episode podcast have been posted weekly since October on #VisionLAFest social media. The last 3 episodes will be posted during the two weeks of the festival– so stay tuned for the hilarious and touching wrap up to this epic podcast event by an award-winning This American Life alumna Woodbury. \n“Charles Dickens meets The Young and the Restless…Heather Woodbury’s new one-woman play grapples with global warming” \n-Madeleine Brand Show \n“I am a super fan of writer performer Heather Woodbury. Her new serial [As the Globe Warms] is a podcast and all Earthdayish” \n– Ira Glass
