Clare Graham creates “Recycled Art,” or art made from discarded materials. The Moryork Gallery features a stunning, playful and transporting display of dozens of selected works. Groupings of curious pieces often take the form of furniture and many of his sets contain hundreds of thousands of individual recycled items such as scrabble tiles, bottlecaps, etc.
Graham’s work shows how re-purposing the everyday results in a vivid, imaginative re-framing of the familiar, a skill to be celebrated by a world now struggling for balance and sustainability.
The Moryork Gallery in Highland Park will be open to the public from Nov 30 – Dec 5, from 2pm-4pm.
