US 2013, 56 mins.  Directors John Ankele, Anne Macksound

The Wisdom to Survive – Climate Change, Capitalism & Community features thought leaders and activists in the realms of science, economics and spirituality reflecting on climate change. The focus: how we can live creatively and even joyfully in the face of this catastrophe. Because they are doing the work that needs to be done, they inspire the viewer to want to join the team. It accepts the consensus of scientists that climate change has already arrived, and asks what is keeping us from action? In discussions with thought leaders and activists, the film explores how unlimited growth and greed are destroying the life support system of the planet, the social fabric of the society, and the lives of billions of people. Featured: Bill McKibben, Joanna Macy, Gus Speth, Roger Payne among others.
